Andy Baylor’s Cajun Combo specializes in a unique mix of Louisiana-inspired Cajun dance music, blues, western swing and original fiddle tunes, all delivered with a definitive Australian roots flavour.
The band moves easily between rockin’ boogie-woogies, funky juke-joint blues, high-energy two-steps, Creole blues stylings, country blues classics and foot-stomping breakdowns. Andy’s highly individual fiddle playing is driven by exotic percussion of drum kit, triangle, rub board, slapping double bass and great electric guitar.
Over the years Andy has honed a highly personal style on vocals, fiddle and guitar and has been one of the leaders in the emergence roots music styles in Australia. He is renowned for his versatility, heartfelt playing and deep insight into Australian Americana.
